Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem
April 21, 2021
A Hartt School Production

Hear this powerful piece performed by a massed choir, including Hartford Chorale, in a concert from 2010. Described as “harrowing and mournful,” the Requiem was commissioned for the reconsecration of Coventry Cathedral after it had been destroyed by Nazi bombs in WWII. Recorded live at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Christopher Zimmerman conducting.

All concerts in our virtual season will be conducted over ZOOM and are free to the public. No advance registration is required. A shareable ZOOM link will be available on the Hartford Chorale Facebook page 30 minutes prior to the start of each performance.
